Heya, folks. After some thinking, I've come to the realization that having my Neocities "profile" enabled is a big hinderance for me to come back and work on the site. Having a "timeline" is too stressful, not knowing who's following TYC is stressful, and ultimately, it makes me feel more like I'm working for an audience rather than working on my passion project. I've recently realized some things about myself that relate to my inability thus far to keep the promises I've made on my site so long ago. I've written a page on the subject, so if you're one of my millions of adoring fans who have been waiting over a year and a half for me to ramble on about crappy old video games no one plays anymore, please read it. :)

i fully renovated the fairy shrine. i still haven't finished the plot but now you'll get to navigate what is there without loading 3000 pages. hopefully more story will come soon, but i still have to finish writing everything to make sure it's awesome!

What happened to https://thedonald.neocities.org ? The site and its associated Neocities account no longer exist. What a shame -- it was quite the funny site.

The Neocities team have shown themselves to have a distaste for Donald Trump: https://blog.neocities.org/blog/2017/04/27/net-neutrality-plan.html I'd HOPE that they wouldn't delete people's sites just because they disagree with them, but who knows.

That's quite unfortunate, because in the case of thedonald.neocities.org, at least, it was very clearly a humor site pretending to support him, and not at all a serious endorsement of Trump.

Good to hear, thanks for looking into that. I get a little paranoid about this stuff sometimes since these days damn near every site (or at least the big ones) will ban you for the stupidest reasons, such as having incorrect opinions. Serious business indeed.

I also pressure myself into announcing things I plan on doing or want to do with the site, which is actually proven to make you less likely to follow through with said plans! But, as I always assure everyone, TYC isn't going to die, and it's not closing down. Next time I come on here, I'm going to disable my profile, because I think that will help me immensely in beating this burnout. (continued)

TL;DR: I'm disabling my Neocities site profile, but fret not! After I do that, TYC will return to business as usual. I just don't have the best relationship with the social media-esque features on here. Thank you all very much for your interest and support in this site! When it comes back, it'll be better than ever as I'll have returned rested and refreshed. Take care, everybody!
Well as long as this channel of communication is open I just want to say that I love your site, and that I agree that you should do whatever you need/want to in order to make running it not feel like a chore. I would say not to worry about adhering to any sort of timeline, but since my site updates roughly once a year I might not be the best person to give advice. Either way, take it easy.
