Are you sure you want to do this?
most importantly the purpose of my site is always to have a second home online, where I can put my stuffs on a site without a care in the world
secondly, I never really cared if people aren't exactly interested in my site (regarding Federi's follow up email at https://crackworths.neocities.org/federiefederi , the 6th paragraph) I'm well aware that views are mainly from bots, even the site statistics info says so
before i found my neighbours through F+F, I've always just kept this whole website thing as my fun hobby (which still is), my website thing used to be just a fun thing I make and show off to my friends for feedbacks
ong i didn't actually have words planned but the main thing is that I never really see me joining their project just to get more views n stuffs because...honestly? its just not what i was aiming for when joining their project. they claimed to help other people, so i joined in for fun, not for my own gain because to be fair my site statistic is rather..consistently the same or less even after joining their project
but hey, at least I have cool neighbours on here through them !! that's one thing i can thank them for ..I probably wouldn't have stumbled across any of my neighbors if i didn't know about them, being honest.
Same I don't actually care about the views. I celebrate when they reach numbers but it doesn't really matter. I liked the project for finding cool sites
@chocolaterevel YEAHH YOU GET ME. at the end of the day most neocities sites are just personal home for people to put whatever. their project was what made it easy for me to find more sites though but at least someone archived it so i can just check it anytime if needed
read that article to catch up (thanks!) and tbh i think most of us joined as a for fun/just to support them kind of deal? that holier-than-thou 'we sacrificed ourselves for you plebs' vibe and the sour grapesing at the end of that email tho.... major yikes
@soyatoast yeah ! and the way they worded stuffs on their follow-up email feels..manipulative n guilt-trippy in a sense. especially with the "I had hope on people.. not anymore" schtick it just fells..icky to me (also np !)
it does and there's a lot of context jumps straight to people being evil and uncaring that im a lil worried for the person, ngl? hoping the time off the internet cools them down some, feels a lot like salt from misplaced expectations too
