changelog!!! cleaned up the sites code and tweaked some styling. (once we get to it) adding some community stuff will be easier now!
also! we now use webstring and the code's been moved over to /ring.js. all your widgets still work! i've set it up so the old script (onionring-variables.js) just redirects to the new one.
umm that will be all for now. hopefully all that community stuff will come soon! we'll sit down & discuss what we want to do. stay kicking transgenders
Hi! I noticed that my nb themed widget changed colors - I switched to the new script and it works fine but with the redirect, it wasn't working. Just wanted you to know!
By the way, it looks like the redirect code in onionring-variables.js is a bit broken ('body' is undefined in line 3, probably should be 'document.body'?) I updated the widget on my site yesterday, but ofc not every site on the ring is using the new widget
tried to fix one problem and caused another 😠everything should work now!! crossing my fingers
i should add more ways to sort members as well, with 259 (wowzas!) of them i want there to be multiple ways you can search for epic websites
Not sure how feasible it is (idk how the backendy bits of the ring work), but I suppose a 'visit random person' button on the site could be worth considering, if just to help encourage people discover member sites they otherwise wouldn't bother checking out or something idk (but then again that probably won't do anything about the participatoriness)
TRANS ART PAGES SOUNDS AWESOME!! Since joining Neocities, I've sorta dreamed of some kind of digital literary/art magazine people could submit to, though I know I'm not the kinda person to ever really have the platform to get enough submissions to pull it off myself. I think it's a very fun idea for the ring to take a swing at though.
not to give you an extra task but it appears my site button isnt showing up >_< not sure if that was an issue with my application or just a mistake
i have forwarded all new submissions to the new email so do not worry! :)
