Wish you could tag people on Neocities, Kyle told me it was a good idea and that he'd try to implement it but that was like 7 months ago. :(

hard to believe it isnt, its in almost every social media site. Never hurts to remind people again, I tend to get lost in the scope of my relatively small projects so something like neocities is probably hard to stay on top of.

the whole activity flow is kinda wonky, i don't get why we need two pages that are basically the same: https://neocities.org/site/XXmysiteXX and https://neocities.org/?activity=mine, while not even getting a specific notification for each "activity", sometimes i see my following counter go up but don't get any notif, and when i click on it, it's just my site profile page and that's it?

It would be too easy, just replace @chattable in post or comment string with a link. Eg text.replace(/@(\w+)/g, (match, username) => { return `https://neocities.org/site/${username}`; });

Unfortunately, after performing bug fixes today, in attempts to beautify the server.js file I accidentally overwrote the entire file to the string "undefined". This ruined the entire backend of Chattable immediately and I had to restore from a version from mid-February. While I am working to get it back online, some features may not work. Please bear with me while I am working to resolve this as quickly as possible

Both user flairs & commands are set in JavaScript, you can use CSS to customize your created user flairs. Commands are executed in JavaScript on the PARENT site (your site) and not inside the iframe.

i noticed on somebody's chatbox that there is an element called #nameEntry, and there's a field to change your name above the msg input box. i checked the code for each of our boxes and it looks like this is something that has been added to some chats, but not all. i'd really like to have a field for folks to change their name right there in the chat, instead of hidden in the settings menu! ETA on feature release?

They're using the alternative layout defined in the URL, /embed?chat=000 is the default layout, /embed/alternate?chat=000 is the alternate layout with #nameEntry

Love the site! I was just talking to someone about your site the other day inside my demo chats lol, and thank you!! I do continue to develop it but I've changed course a bit so it's not exclusively a Neocities project, it now works on any website! Some newer features won't work on free Neocities now though due to their CORS limitations.

Some accidental updates were released to production regarding notifications (my version control is held together with duct tape and 2 similarly named folders that separate testing from production) fixed now, sorryyyy

more maintenance today, I got the notification database (required for push notifications) to have a dedicated DB with backups, push notifications for the beta app are now complete! Should be no more issues with them
