ironically I was familiar with EYKiW before I was familiar with tmbg. I like Weird Al's originals and style parodies better than his blatant parodies because I'm usually too culturally illiterate to "get" those but I think That's Your Horoscope For Today and Dare to be Stupid are fun

this is always the case, whenever weird al writes the song himself it always turns out so much better and more creative than the alternative

I do not generally listen to Weird Al because his voice is the most annoying thing I've ever heard (very hypocritical thing for a tmbg fan to say. I know) but I massively respect him as an artist and as an accordionist
