I think you and I have a lot of similar feelings about Cult of the Lamb. I really really wanted to love this game but it just ended up being meh. The switch version was horribly buggy at launch. My gf and I have gone back and played it again. We appreciate the free updates, but the game still feels like it is missing something. It is a fun game for us to coop together though!
She does the dungeons and I take care of the cult. We kinda expected it to be a game with a little more depth I think? The updates try to add it, but I still think it misses the mark.
