got up to like episode nine on aquatope, trying to remember why I dropped it. definitely was pretty though; I think it felt too out-of-this-world to be my type of SoL. interesting initial premise that meshed into an escape; and although I loved the simplistic yet beautiful location w/ emphasis on locality, the conflict explored felt detached at best, i.e. fame or getting good at new things, disjoint from setting
yes, that makes sense! the conflict/message did feel confused at times, like you said, so i do wish they had gone more into that. i think that does happen with a lot of SoLs, though, since there’s usually not a ton of plot.
"When times are good, rejoice, and when they’re difficult, be patient" – this alone is worth a lot of attention, great stuff! the talk of reconciling divergent beliefs reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcion_of_Sinope where he attempts to reconcile the stark contrast in how the Lord is portrayed between OT and NT. btw your pumpkin/patch dress design is awesome, its color composition
thank you sm! ecclesiastes 7:14 :) also, his thoughts on the topic were very interesting, i’ve wondered about that myself and i think many others do, too, considering how it can be different at times. and thank you again, i appreciate it!
I guess that's why it resonates so much. Ecclesiastes is one of my favorite books, probably because it's /the/ stepping stone, something like that. Ecclesiastes 12:1, 8:14 are great ones too. I look forward to seeing more articles :^)
neat depth perception & shadowing. learning how to draw seems rewarding. the variance in your stroke width (like the eyelashes) is another thing that I notice but wouldn't know how to properly do. cute drawing :^)
thank you sm! and it definitely is rewarding, i love experimenting with different art styles too. and thank you again, i honestly love drawing eyelashes loll
