I know that I wouldn't have read many of those books that are on the list simply because I am not a big reader of classics (whether traditional 'classics' like Jane Austin), or more modern ones. Most of of the books I read tend to be published between the 70's and mid 2000's, but I have read a fair number of well known female authors in the fantasy genre - Juliet Mariller, Robin Hobb/Meghan Lindholm, Naomi Novak etc
Two of the authors I have enjoyed the most this year have been by female authors, Marie Brennan and Heather Fawchett.
