"Glaciers" was a beautiful read. could i ask what inspired that piece? i kind of interpreted it as life always moving, whether you want it to or not. you don't know where it'll take you, but you'll be forced to change along the way—like water to ice. And it's scary at first, but your growth leads you to something beautiful.

thats basically what its about actually!! ^^ it's meant to sound like someone having a realization that the pain they've endured helped them grow into who they are now, a beautiful person. the main inspirations were both my own personal experience, and a song named 'trial' by the pillows. it has a very winter-y tone to it, and the lyrics cover some pretty similar topics. im glad you enjoyed this one <3

A lot of so-called people with girlfriends online are not having relationships because they are necessarily attractive. I think people want to be around them for the sake of association. To be part of something that's famous or infamous.

There's this trend of people with relationships having all of their personal private details being leaked out. Turns out people who "Had Sex" are just sexually depraved to the point of doing incredibly humiliating acts just to one up someone online. It's not a good look for them.

@Wizard, flies being attracted to trash is still a match for better or worse. With Chris-Chan, I know people date for reasons outside of love, but I'll give credit where credit's due. Chris met a girl he can walk the town with, and he's probably too retarded to know she's strumming him along. Happens to a lot of guys, but they still count it as "experience" in this depraved world.

thanks for the interest! this is overcomplicated AND buggy as hell. so it goes like this: 1. a scripting syntax that makes it quicker to write lines of dialogue including scene transitions branching etc, that gets transcribed into json by a plain old node js paring script.

2. the json is dumped in the client-side data script file (gamedata.js on the page) ((its really fuckin huge and not meant for complete vn's, those would have to be split into chapters or something)) using eleventy, purely because that's what i'm using as the static side generator for my page. this is just a global frozen const array of every dialogue line, plus some player stats and savefile stats.

3. the game ui script (ui.js) is very inefficient but works for the project: it keeps track of the state of the game (kiina, NOT a proper state machine or whatevs) and depending on what dialogue is shown (like diag I. curly, "hello!", flag: said_hi diag II curly jimmy "what?" if said_hi) it checks if the conditions are met and "resets" the images to the appropiate amount, the colors of the text etc!!!
