A project I've been wanting to start for awhile now, need to update Quail Keeper's Journal (The quailies are doing well!) and probably do a few more things too.
Thank you! Sorry I couldnt comment till now, haha. But yes I found a mix of just northeast natives and the bugs love it! seen so many species I never have before!
There is also a way to get your iNat observations to show up on a personal site, I haven't done that yet because I am unbelievable busy, but it is definetely something to look into!
HIII THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE IDEA !!! i know inat and i dont really like it :,,) its also a bit problematic imo where i live because its REALLY rare to see snails outside esp in the summertime + i only saw snails one of two species in my whole life , the others are very rare :,,) but thank you so much for the idea ,, i might check it out again in the winter when there are more snails !! :D <3
Thank you so much! It means a lot to me to hear that my comments and website bring happiness to people! :-) I love your site too, invertabrates make really neat pets and are interesting to observe, and you really show how interesting they are with your site!
Busy with new job, Pearl Fees are all grown up now so I need to update that, also lost a few elderly quail a few weeks ago. Goodbye Kombucha and Sugarcube <3<3<3 I hope they loved the life I gave them. Ordered an alligator skull, busy on iNat, and trying to be more organized. (I have all the info for my birds, lizard, and skull collection organized, but scheduling my daily tasks... still working on that.)
Decided to add my skull collection! I hope you enjoy! will be a big wip though..
Ranting/venting can be a great use of a journal. It's got to come out somewhere! I find it helps most to follow heavy vents with something positive/optimistic- in my experience, it helps balance out the negativity and levels out my perspective on things. Even "I'm still alive and this will pass" counts.
And I'm glad the compendium helps! Anxiety can be really frustrating to deal with sometimes- I've had more trouble with it than I did with depression. Something my therapist told me was that some anxiety is "top-down" (thoughts -> body) and some is "bottom-up" (body -> thoughts), and it helps more to target the source. Never occurred to me that there was a difference before then.
