okay I came up with an idea and it's not an awful ronnie thought (the awful ronnie thought I did have was too cursed to draw)
My unified opinion on AI and such, put into one place. It's not that different from most artists / indie web folks' opinions, but if you want it. Anyway, I have a Nekoweb just in case, but I don't think that a blog post from Kyle last year which no acting on has happened in relation to Neocities is really worth that much concern at the moment. https://draggianuniverse.neocities.org/miscellanea/generativealgorithms

FYI given the Neocities creator supporting AI art, and just in general -- I do have a Nekoweb "mirror" in case anything happens. (it's not actually a mirror at the moment vs. just my short profile because my site is too big. The "iff" is not a typo; it's the logical operator "if and only if". I refuse to sign up for either provider's premium until I have to, my site's too big to go on Nekoweb free, I've got better things to do than maintain two copies, and I hate Nekoweb's editor and UI.

ok, thanks. so, uh, if it's from 2023, why are people bringing it up now? if he's kept that nonsense out of neocities for the past year (and the generative crap hype bubble seems to be popping) and he knows what his userbase is, seems unlikely that'll change.
