The only reason to ever use Geocities.ws is just to host music/videos

The long and short of it is that the site is a pain in the arse to use; it keeps on logging you off, the editor is annoying to use, oh and it's not HTTPS

Ah, thank you. Might it also be ok if they have your old FoutuneCity/GeoCities site archived, and you want to resurrect it?

I guess if they do have an archive of your old GeoCities site then you may wish to use Geocities.ws, but apart from that I see no point in using it

Some of my old sites used to be based off geocities.ws entirely, even using the default TinyMCE wysiwyg editor to build them. Some of those sites are still online. Fun times. Now, Floppyjay's music and games are hosted on Geocities.ws.....so add games to the list.
