there should be another back to the future movie where the Marty that goes back in time, after the first comes back from 1955 in the original film and realizes Doc had a bulletproof vest to prevent being shot to death by the Libyans, realizes that the original marty took his place in the timeline with the new and improved future and then realizes he has to kill that original marty to avoid the eternal return

basically the original marty is the one who grew up in the timeline where his dad was kind of a loser and the marty that goes back to save Doc for a second time even though he had a bulletproof vest is the one who actually grew up with the more successful version of marty's family so eventually he's gonna come back anyway and then realize his life has been stolen
