Here's a new short story, Frenzy. This idea has been living in my head for a little bit, and I decided I didn't want to wait to have a whole proper continuation for it, so here we are.
Oh hey, I found out what happened to HTML comment boxes, I think; sadly I don't have any kind of fix, though. It's the shift from displaying */page.html to */page for everything, I guess that threw some of the comment thingies for a loop. In case you were still wondering what was going on with that. That would explain why you can still see them on the dashboard and such and just not on the pages themselves.

Also having this problem — thanks for the tip! Do you know of a workaround or is it just broken?

Thanks, Pret! I saw that neo had dropped ".html" on pages but didn't make the connection that it might have thrown a wrench into htmlcommentbox. I guess going forward the comments on new posts will work as they should, and the old stuff is lost to the hot, burning furnace of time

If that’s the case, one solution could be to copy the comments to those pages manually. Depends on how much you want it I guess

More on this. I checked the Comment box website again and found there is a way to transfer comments to a new URL. Preternaturally was right. I chose a Terry Pratchett review that had a comment and transferred it from the old URL with the .html to the same URL without it and my comments appeared back on the page immediately. So, that's the solution!

Whoops, late notice, but: No update this week, it will be next week. Then the week after that as normal, so a delay, not a skip. (It's exams time for me.)

Dread Page 7! Happy to report I'm back in a headspace to write, well, about a bad headspace, so... Back on the plan to keep with Dread until it ends!
Unfortunately, I don't have anything ready to post today. Not sure what the long-term plan is. I was planning to write Dread until I got the end, before going back to Preternatural, but I think I've been in a frame where writing Dread isn't the best idea. So I might do something else? We'll see. Thank you for your patience!

Oops, I'm doing it again. Here's the first page of a new ongoing story, Garden. But... Just treat it as a short story, for now. I am serious about wanting to actually finish some of these stories already, just busy; not that I'm helping myself in that regard.
And also, in other me-writing-things news, I started a forum Quest. One of those interactive fiction stories driven by reader vote. And Should the Soil Not Take you, a story about life, undeath, putting things back together, and evil sorcery.
