I'll be traveling for the next two weeks, so projects and articles are on hold for the time being. Updates will resume in July.
Due to personal life circumstances, progress on this site will be slow for a while. Maybe a short while, maybe a long one. For this reason, I have removed the "support" page.
Everything's fine, don't worry. Just have to rearrange some priorities for a bit.
Made some useful improvements to my protein-based glues and paints in terms of optimization and waterproofing, and edited these into their respective articles.
Major project, a long time in the making, but everything turned out better than expected.
Of all my articles, this one is probably the broadest in scope, which is why it took nearly three months to write. Lots of discoveries along the way though, and I'm happy with the results.
Are you leaving the PLA molds in when you pour the molten alloy? I can't picture how you made that cup without metling or cutting the mold! Great addition to your projects
Nope, no lost-PLA here. The cup is actually a bell, so if you imagine it sitting upright you can picture how it could get pulled upward, leaving behind the lump of sand that was inside.
