I just upload the song I want somewhere and use the audio and source tags. I'm not sure if you are using one of those embed youtube music players or not.

Idk why neocities is acting weird rn but you can use that way to force hide the audio controls if they're still showing up for any reason. It's not common but it's there.

I think I used Gimp to actually make mine into a gif, but I've forgotten if I used Gimp or Paint.NET (as in the one from https://getpaint.net, that Paint.NET) to make the individual frames of it. But I definitely used Paint.NET to make the various placeholder buttons on my Cool People Page. Just don't forget the 88:31 aspect ratio.
I usually make mine in my art program by smashing images and colored bgs together lol
I made mine on an online pixel art program called Piskel
paint.net + ezgif :3
I used clip studio paint for drawing mine and then ez gif to put the frames together super quickly. Definitely recommend ez gif for so many things :D I love that site lmao
