what software do you use to make your gifs and pictures? also what font do you use?

I use the Caviar Dreams font and I use Photoshop for pictures. Most of gifs are converted from video, glitchy ones are a bit complicated.
How would I get one of those epic banners?

I originally made the banner in October 2015, so forgive me if I forget any steps, but I pretty much generated a logo in GIMP by using the text 'FloppyJay' with a siick font called Boombox 2, and then applied the Alien Neon filter under the Alpha to Logo menu. Afterwards, I shrunk it to 88x31, and made the edges look nicer with a black virtual paintbrush. Hope I helped you on your logo-making endeavours!
