Beautiful write-up. The cultivation of empathy makes our interconnection painfully apparent, while selfishness can be blinding to the point that "ethical consumption" is not recognized as a contradiction in terms. To quote Upton Sinclair in regards to his book The Jungle, "I aimed at the public's heart, and by accident I hit it in the stomach."...Someday we will reach the heart. 💜
