This layout is cozy. One problem though is that you're stuck on the navigation page while the content is in frames, should be the other way around.
@slimysomething thank you! i plan on fixing up the layout soon so it's less crowded and makes more sense structurally.
who knows anymore, it feels like it's like this everywhere now. i've had the same problem trying to get medical offices to answer me back for important things, just completely ignored. super frustrating
I wrote something before on this sort of thing. How Internet accounts are like these incomplete versions of actually knowing people. A list of labels isn't true communication, it's shorthand that can fit into a bio. But online it's all people are going to see of you unless you're willing to give out more.
And despite trying to change that somewhat with the site, I'm still not comfortable volunteering tons of personal information. (And my opinions have changed over time enough that I would't sound self-assured talking about beliefs.) At least a personal website lets you reveal things on your own terms, make your own context.
Recently I came across a few pro-gun/LGBT Twitter accounts. You're not the only person to get the idea, Twitter just has an extremely aggressive culture.
@slimysomething you nailed it with the part about personal websites letting you reveal/conceal things on your own terms, i think its why i like neocities so much. And TBH, i wouldn't even say so much that i'm "pro-gun" im more pro-education and pro self-preservation but i definitely agree with you, twitter people really jump the gun on stuff.
