Yeah, I've thought about that. The first thing I did when I started to use it was to update it, but maybe there were some updates that just came out.
When I was at uni, I bought a laptop hoping that it would last the three years I was there. Didn't need it for anything fancy like gaming - just needed one to do my work on. Slow as anything. It was Vista (which isn't my favourite operating system anyway), but the processor wasn't good enough to handle the operating system. Might be a good idea to check to see if the operating system runs OK with the processor, RAM,
etc as I wouldn't have expected it to be slow, either. Laptops don't seem to have as much care put into them when they are being built as desktops do.
It's some Hewlett-Packard; I'm not very tech-savvy, so I just chose a reasonably priced one with a 17.3 inch screen and the best keyboard layout.
the radios on radiot.fi seem to work for me. Iskelmä Lappeenranta was playing a very catchy accordeon tune, followed by a REO Speedwagon-like ballad. o((>ω< ))o Yle works too. Thank you random Finn for paying for these 5 minutes I spent listening to some apparently very serious discussion.
Just had a random though - it would be kinda funny if internet radios didn't work from countries that are too far away from the country where the radio is hosted; kinda like real radios but with a larger coverage area. Or perhaps the more far away the listener's country is from the host country, the worse the audio quality becomes.
Picking up a low-quality radio signal and getting to listen to something you're not supposed to be able to hear is rather exciting.
Hey that's fine, I can totally relate to the "kind of weird, but it's something I have to do" aspect of getting rid of and cleaning up some of the things in your life. I'll be waiting for you to rise like a phoenix again.
Thank you!! (and of course huge thanks to @rbuchanan). I'm halfway through the second album and some songs sound fairly similar to what I was looking for! ♪(´▽`)
I'm glad I could be of help.
