I can relate to your plight. I miss my Rio 500. Due to its age it lacked suffient storage (even though it had both onboard and could be expanded). It used a single AA battery, but specific software had to be used to transfer audio onto it. The buttons for navigation were great though. These days I use an old mobile phone which has buttons rather than a touch screen.
I got a fake ipod for christmas and its terrible, barely passed my tests. Wont even play video even though it said it did. smh
