For Max (and Colin), in particular, it was bad because both of them were scared of traffic and having cars and worse, lorries trundling down roads with no space for pedestrians was a night mare. Where we live now, you can't access countryside areas without loads of traffic being in the way, and one area I found was blocked off, so it's a road nightmare.
