Sometimes, a user will make their profile private, in which case, the follower won't count anymore. I also notice that the nightly routines on Neocities can sometimes make the count fluctuate. Happens to me a fair amount.

I think I know at least one person we were both mutuals with who either went private or deleted their account. I hope they are doing well
