i forgot the clickbait? the clickbait is i beat the bpd allegations
congrats on beating the bpd allegations! i empathise a lot with some of the stuff you've written here, especially since I was on tumblr when the BPD self-dx thing was really going around and wanted an answer for why i was Like That:tm:. cheering on your efforts towards being your vivariest (if it works as an adjective, lol) self as always!
Im always wishing you the best floone! I'm so happy you have support system to help you. You know i'm always here for you π©΅π§‘
I feel torn on the concept of personality disorders because on one hand, it's a pretty modern concept and a bandaid diagnosis for what can easily be described as environmental behaviors that cause PTSD/C-PTSD + the whole trope that women are branded as "BPD" by professionals for any little thing. Some autistic traits can be considered BPD. But the specific patterns of behavior attached to "the big ones" are real.
And the trendiness of it in certain communities makes people actively want to "be" that, reshape their behavior to "fit" it, or weaponize it to justify actual abusive behavior... I'm guilty of throwing around the phrase derogatorily and have gone under fire for it in private, but how it's kind of a meme-y trendy dx is why. I don't know where I'm going with this.
I've read this entry twice now, it's both very accurate and insightful.
Floone, you are so strong, resilient, brave, and kind. I'm incredibly proud of you. Never forget the world is a better place with you in it. <3
@kiley omg my vivariest... that absolutely took me out. thank you for that and for your encouragement too <333 @poom, i love you so much π₯Ίπ thank you for everything!!! @capy whoa im glad that you found my entry so interesting!!! labels can only be so useful. it's interesting how they influence our perceptions of others. & @robyn I LOVE YOU!!!!! my world is better with YOU in it π
Admittedly I was a little confused BPD was ever a possibility for you! It seems that often, BPD is simply a label to slap on women to be written off to never take seriously, to shame them for having emotions. Thank goodness Bree and your therapist put an end to that! I'm so happy you both have the support you need from each other, it makes me teary eyed. (Β°ΛΠΛΒ°) Your sisters always have your back, and you are loved β₯
I hope you will continue down this path of self-discovery, and to the path of healing. Always rooting for you β₯
ahhhh i'm so happy you finally got diagnosis! it does help a lot since you'll be able to get appropriate help and you will get on right track to heal and move forwards. i always felt that bridget is a really sweet and very warm person, i'm glad you both became friends and i genuinely respect her for supporting you so much <3
