After much hemming and hawing over what to specifically cover, and how to keep it short, I present: my site's manifesto, in celebration of the 1-year anniversary of its creation. Thank you to everyone who has followed this site's growth <3 https://macaque.neocities.org/articles/manifesto

Re: antipsych, well-said on the difference between antipsych and anti-recovery. There's definitely a lot that needs to improve in the mental health system and it can be good to be critical of it, but writing off recovery/improvement entirely is a whole other deal that's very concerning. Definitely interested in whatever you write on the subject in the future.

I've completed my TV page! A place where you can hang out and watch some television (read: my favorite YouTube video essays)! https://macaque.neocities.org/tv

Not even 2 full days after I wrote that diary entry on how nothing is permanent on the internet, Google announced that they’re going to be deleting all inactive accounts. (Including YouTube channels.) How fitting.

Between this and testing anti-adblocking measures, I guess it's time for me to start hunting for YouTube alternatives (and using Invidious or FreeTube in the meantime). Yikes.

I'm gonna try taking my attention meds tomorrow and see if that works. I have an idea for a new page that should be pretty simple to do

Had a small chat about internet archival, the destruction and loss of art, and owning physical media as an act of protest against big companies.
