thank you!! i figured out how to change the colours and stuff, but I wanted to have a picture for the scrollbar thumb which just isn't available in firefox I fear. It works in chrome and safari though!

after searching for a long long while I finally found a manuscript that has descriptions of medicinal herbs that are easy to make a transcript of -- Lonitzer, Adam: Vollständiges Kräuterbuch -- only in old German but I think its possible to machine translate it mostly well. will figure out the formatting&design some other time

the hand holding a pink book in your inn is a border decoration in the Utrecht Pontifical - Master of Catherine of Cleves. Universiteitsbibliotheek Utrecht Ms400. If you go through a digital copy of the ' Pontificale ecclesiae beatae Mariae Trajectensis', it's on page 75!
