Congratulations on your potato harvest! As someone who can't grow plants no matter what - I am very impressed!

ahh my bf harvested our potatoes last week! He has been making chips (thick fries?) from them, we have so many. if you leave them until the plant looks like it is dying, they can get a little bigger and the skin will harden up while they are still in the soil :) he did carrots too but ours were an early harvest crop so he harvested those a few weeks ago, so we have almost finished eating those now

It's so good!!! I bookmarked your page to go through all the resources you linked! I read the David C Woodman book you mentioned, it's incredibly sad and frustrating how Inuit stories were ignored for so long

do you use any specific patterns for the shirts + other stuff you’ve sewn for everyday wear? I’d love to know more info about them!

I typically draft the patterns myself as most of the stuff I make isn't super complicated. The Closet Historian on youtube is super helpful if you're interested in pattern drafting! For the looser 18th century style shirts and chemise I looked at bunch of different tutorials online, Vincent Brigg's blog was especially helpful!

One thing I used a pattern for was the grey/brown vest, which I made from Mccalls 8133. I worked in fabric store for years where I acquired a massive hoard of patterns but sadly I rarely use them.

Sorry for the lack of significant updates the last few months. Darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time etc. I’ve changed the site layout and made some new pages, including a little drag and drop manuscript page. You might have to do a hard refresh for everything to display correctly.
