Aquanaut’s Holiday, potentially butchered spelling aside, sounds really neat! I’d never heard of it before your game log!
Thanks for the recommendations of Cotton 2 and esp. Aquanaut's Holiday. At his home approximately 25 years ago, I watched an old friend putter about in it, but I never got around to playing it myself.
I need to get around to Madou Monogatari 3 at some point myself, I played the first two last year. I remember finding Madou 2 especially hilarious so glad to hear the comedy was kept up for its followup hgfhjk
You always review something worth discovery! I love Iwano's murals in Expo 85, so I'm interested to play Shining Flower. My cousin beat the Swordquest trilogy over the course of 4 years ('87-'90); I beat 0 of them over the course of 20. Those are great games, but I also wish that the gameplay didn't deviate during development* so far from that of Adventure.
Ahh thank you so much, your site looks really good too!! I don't have a button yet because I'm too lazy but I hope I can get around to make one someday T_T
Branson & Powell have remarkably deep pockets, so the televised hype in promotion of 7th Guest was overwhelming in some regions 30 years ago. I sat in on sessions wherein a friend played it to completion, and helped him solve some of the puzzles. Even then, it seemed fun but stagily crappy. I surmised that it wouldn't age well.
