Out of curiosity, where do transgender people fit within this model? Or transgender individuals in a straight relationship? (FTM + MTF; FTM + F; MTF+M, etc.)
i think in case of transgender individuals it varies person to person depending what their experiences are and to what level they are critical or rejecting of their experiences past and present, and so on. i'm a nb lesbian who lived most of my life as transgender ftm then partly detransed so i would know a thing about it. it's probably nuanced because of variety in experiences and how far physical transition went :)
Makes sense, and I largely agree with you! I am trans(binary transfemme) in a T4T relationship with a trans masc guy, and I definitely feel your post rings true for my relationship as well
