The sun stings you skin as you squint into the billowing cloud of dust ahead. A silhouette undulates as it crawls from the ground at a geological speed. With each footstep your trace evaporates in a swirl of debris, which peppers your mask as you tighten your white robe. Salvation awaits. Universe be with U

WOW. no site updates in a long long while, though that will soon change. Again- as I said, I have been wanting to do some site redesigns for a good while now and I have been mostly conceptualizing and planning instead of coding. Real life also. I haven't been the most motivated for the past while. I want to get the ball rolling again though.

Now that I have a roadmap in mind, things might move a *little* faster.

I'm looking forward to your redesign! I'm kinda thinking something like that in the future of my own site, too, but its more of an "aesthetic shift." I'm thinking of mixing Frutiger Aero with Tropical vibes.

Very minor update done to the website today. I am working on a huge overhaul on the main index page (everything else will be relatively the same). Yeah, I've been putting off mySQL / PHP stuff. I've been very stressed these past few weeks so I'm sticking to things I'm already pretty familar with. I'll get back to it once I feel better.

Anyone know any good note taking applications (desktop)? No accounts, no anything. I just want to be able to write some text and insert images too if I can. I tried both obsdian and Qownnotes. I don't really like either of them.

I like Obsidian, but I have a friend who likes Trillium the most, so you might want to check that out.

You moved to Fedora as well? I moved a bit ago and I've been really enjoying it :] it's a good balance between what I liked in both Debian and Arch.

Not ATM, but it will be on my next machine or if and when Arch breaks.

Site progress is slow but steady; mostly working on the art section of my site. Finally learning about databases and data management and that has been exciting, though I haven't gotten very far yet as I've also been pretty busy for the past few days.

There will be an RSS feed for the art posts so you will be able to get notifications about that if you are subscribed to it. Note that site updates and the art feed will be two different things to subscribe to- it's easier to code and you can customize what you want to "follow"

After that I'm probably going to knock down a few simpler projects before restructuring the blog and how it functions. Will be adding backend to that also.

Oh my gods, I really wish you could edit replies. It's really frustrating to delete the post and repost it with the modified comment.

I just deleted and reposted a reply I made to a post like 5 times. I edit my comments a lot because I always end up noticing one grammar mistake after another and it bugs me. Some people could care less, but I DO.

IMPORTANT - Regarding buttons, affliate links + any sort of linkage back to my site in any way: I don't know how long the "neogeist.lol" URL will last for, since I unsubcribed from my supporter subscription ages ago. Just keep in mind that it might revert back to simply "neogeist.neocities.org" at any time. I am also not planning to renew the domain name after it expires.

might be safe to change it to "neogeist.neocities.org" or "neovium.xyz" (take your pick, they both go to the same site, the former will be updated in the event the latter ever gets changed, so there's less hassle for you to update it if that were to occur).

AFAIK, from other people who have had supporter, it wont revert it but you just lose the ability to change it to another custom domain

Alright, thanks for letting me know!

I might post site updates HERE for a bit so people can be accustomed to my new website. Eventually I'll stop, but it'll always redirect to my new site. Thanks for all of the support on Neocities for these past few years- especially to the people who have known me before this site existed (I have been on Neocities since about 2020, wow)!!
