I also say that cause I tried using Tumblr for this, but it just didn't work for me. The mood of the platform wouldn't really let my brain flow with topics to talk about, and became just another place to post art and reblog others' work
Also, I'll preferably look for anything that lets me customize the CSS to my liking :]
i use bearblog!! it's very lightweight & customisable so you can make it match your site :]
@sclptures Hey, big thanks for the blog idea! I'm customizing it so far, and might include it in my site through an iframe :D
I'm almost there with the updates... and once I'm done, I'll figure out a way to mirror my site page to it, once it's all running. Boy, it's gonna be a busy week...
Probably the craziest thing for me now is just giving my home page a complete overhaul... I even tweaked the grid system for it :']] Any other page should be easier to set up... apart from the gallery, which will require LOTS of image compressing...
It came completely by surprise too... I'll be able to make the guestbook plan work there just fine
You can get custom Domains on Neocities! The thing is, you just will have to pay $5 a Month, but you'll also get 50GB of Storage! I haven't upgraded, but I may in the future.
@robonerd Yeah, I was thinking about that myself- but turns out it would be more affordable to me to acquire the domain elsewhere :’] I’ll still be interacting with you folks, will just have my own domain out there
Well, you don't buy domains from Neocities, while Sites such as GoDaddy have web hosting, Neocities is far better to me...
...I like to think of it like getting a new house, so you buy the domain from somewhere, and after paying, you get the Key, and the Webhosting is sort of like the Furniture.
I think it's more the fact that you need supporter to use a custom domain on neocities, which is an extra amount per month
hey nin! abby told me that if you pay for 1 month of supporter, you can get the domain working and it won't go away if you don't pay again
I've been a supporter for a long time and haven't had any issues. What server provider is giving you more than 50GB of service for less than $5/month??
Layercake said it right- I already spent money on getting the domain on GoDaddy, so I don't think it'll be doable to spend more money on the Supporter thing here. I'm currently using InfinityFree for the hosting, and I feel it'll be nice for the site's development. Also since I've got a nice amount of storage there and nice support for files.
Well, I know you're not leaving, but good luck out there on the wider Worldwide Web! And just wondering, what exactly IS the Domain??
@robonerd Ayy, thank you very much for the good wishes! I’ll need em :’] And about the domain, I’ll share it in here soon enough, whenever my main pages have been revamped and the main chunk of the site is doing swell :] Won’t be long, I hope
I just finished working on a musical! it went really well!
Moved into a new place a month ago, it's great!
Hey! Glad to see you back!
@transferns Oh woah, that's superb!! Hope you had fun performing at the musical ^^
@robonerd Ayy, moving sounds great! it can be really tiresome, but it's a great thing at the end of the day :']
@rabbitearsblog Eyoo! Thank you so much for welcoming me again! I've been busy as heck, taking commissions and polishing up the site changes. It'll all be set in the future, and I'll figure out a way to mirror the updates to here ^^
