YEP! Now I'm trying to stop the page from going back to the top when one is opened, which is easy peasy!
Oh no, I was but now that the site is darker overall, I'm good! I was actually using this dummy page to test modal pop ups-I finally got it to work on the characters tab! Thanks for the offer though <3
Jokes aside, I really am considering it, the more I work on TLGoTH, the more I really like the idea of pointing and clicking in character's rooms and getting new banter. I think for a character driven setting/storyworld like Tovera, getting to know the characters in an interactive way will enhance the stories they're in a ton more, even if the VN is kinetic.
Though I will say, Kamikakushi has a lot of potential for choices and routes-so I'm open to choice based VNs for sure, but TLGoTH is such a monster that it's best I tell the "canon" story before I modify any plot beats for routes and endings.
Makes sense, it would give you a chance to tell the story with written and visual parts without the stress of drawing out every. single. scene. It would also make the story more flexible if you want multiple endings plot twists etc. I'd say go for it! Would you host a link to it on your site?
I'm Googling around now, but I'm open to suggestions since I'm kinda stumped. I do see that my fellow worldbuilding pals have whole separate pages for the species in their worlds, so that might be better than stuffing them all on one page.
honestly i’m kinda running into the same issue :/ maybe try browsing deviantart psd makers, or see what you can find on codepen for layout inspiration?
i think including side images/side sections can help, as well as visually breaking up chunks of text (with a darker background color or dividers in some way).
Both of those are killer ideas! I'll see what I can do with those suggestions, thanks!
