Update on my big site revamp! // COMPLETED: splash page, general layout and index (definitely the most labor-intensive part), new buttons (yes plural! :D), and about me page. // CURRENTLY WORKING ON: About the site page. // DO TO: Switch articles and fics to the new format (should be easy). Rewrite recommendations page. Switch links page to new format + add organizational features.

I'm highly considering retheming and recoding my site from the ground-up (mostly for the sake of mobile compatibility) but all of the old links to macaque.neocities.org and macaque.moe will become Dead and it gives me psychic damage to think about

Also my problem is that I want my site to be seamlessly mobile-compatible and then have 50 bajillion tables and floating things on my computer. Which does not translate seamlessly to a mobile layout I think.

having things float and stuff on desktop and not mobile is pretty fun to do! i personally have more things you can see on some pages on desktop instead of mobile. id reccomend looking into media queries, and flexbox layouts tend to be easier to make mobile friendly, if you want something to show on desktop but not mobile just make sure its display:block in the desktop usual code and display:none in the media query

I handle this via bootstrap; half my images simply Do Not Show Up on mobile. the correct way to view my website is using the exact same browser, settings, and hardware as me. if you do it on a phone that isn't mine idk man I can't help you.

that being SAID, you should totally 100% do a recode if you want! I'm actually about to start a major refactor on my own site, to clean up all my sloppy css, which'll include mobile compatibility anyway. so like. hand in hand we can do this together

Your article about waifuism was very intriguing, thank you for sharing your thoughts! I've been a member of a few reddit communities for a year or two now, and I can see why you dislike them so... There's been an increase of constant posting, like a lot of people have to 'prove' their relationship (I've dubbed it the "tiktokification" of fictosexuality). (1)

I've been on the fence about deleting my account and using smaller circles instead, like you, I have found smaller communities to be more welcoming/understanding, as being in love with a fictional character isn't easy and there's no 'set-in-stone' way to have a relationship with one like these communities like to present. Thank you for the food for thought!

I've spent at least 4 hours coding every single day since I first announced the revamp 5 days ago btw... I'm hard at work, and I can't wait for everyone to see it!!
