had a hectic work time recently, but I've got some holiday now so I get to catch up on all the little bits and pieces I've been wanting to sort out here

proof of concept for my vision for my about page. there will be an orb, at some point. can't have a wizard tower without an orb.

wasn't planning to put this up so soon, but I'm trying a new thing where I add things when the basics are there and then get to the decoration later

i used to grow borage but just cause it was pretty, is edible but took too much to prep. what color did borage make???

ah the borage isn't for dyeing, I just was intrigued by the idea eating it! afaik it doesn't produce dye usefully

I also had a mental image of a quite small plant and I want a space-filler: not really what I got but it's very pretty at least!

I give up on trying to game the posting order. anyway new blog poast which is maybe 5 layers of distraction deep from the thing I had initially thought about writing. (and also is not even close to the work I'm supposed to be doing today. oops)

this croc gets so much exposure just by being guardian of the to-do list and the blog

a family member told me my site looks like one of those "cool" maths education sites they had absolutely festooning the web in the 90s

to be clear, I'm taking this as a huge compliment

there's something immensely insufficient about saying "I like your writing", but also I don't have a better way to put it. Your notes are both scattered and fluid in a way that speaks to me? "so much of myself I want to pour out into the world" etc does something spot-on.

yes!!! let me draw up a call for gargs. realizing that it might effectively turn into buttons*, but !! I've been thinking of revamping my homepage / navigation metaphors for a while
