anyway i logged on to publically retract my intention of checking off all the outstanding to do list items before the new year. the garden will get its beautifying treatment next year.
oh thank you!! I love your retro style and great resources: your "how to de-spotify" is gonna save me some hassle! also chag sameach!
starting to believe that I can actually tick off all the current to do list items before next week. anyway, I now have space for next year's garden log!
this has been a masterpiece from the start but it is still growing somehow, so grateful
thanks @geo :) I've had a lot of cool plans for it and I'm trying hard to pace myself so I don't run out of steam and lose interest
It's a good website! I think your education section is really clear, and it's an interesting subject.
thanks!! this particular vision has been in my head basically since the start, it's nice to make it happen finally
@rosemaryandthyme haha busted, yeah that's been a strong influence working away in the background of this whole endeavour
You know I always thought that I wasn't in quite enough mortal peril whenever I browsed the internet.
last photo of the growing season! featuring A Worm, whom we shall name Formosus (I put him back in the soil after his photoshoot)
also I'm having a real "you're telling me I actually need to code the damn thing?" moment. it's all fun and games until you have to count individual pixels in your 128*640 image and try to reconcile deliberately inconsistent page formatting choices
having to explain to my software engineer friend and applied mathematician partner the things i was doing instead of using a code editor felt like cruelty to nerds. they looked so upset.
i will die before i use anything but the native neocities editor. my full stack engineer friend has already attempted to poison me over this.
i respect it, carry on king. at least it's not notepad, where i had to use double spaces instead of indents because they don't translate well to the neocities editor.
hey, if you like visual studio, consider looking at vs codium! it's the same thing without any of microsofts weird tracking stuff
@ancharan yes i'm actually using vs codium already! was happy to find it as an option
