"you need to in advance know what youre going to replace it with" I've heard this said about any drug/addiction/thing you're trying to quit/cut down on.
i love reading about your journey because i find my own thoughts echoed in your writing. specifically i too think/wonder a lot about how i existed (corporally, mentally, subjectively) before smartphones cellphones in general. even the habit of turning my cell phone off at night in 2007 seems laughable now.
please continue to write about your experiments and discoveries if it isn't too stressful, they are so enjoyable to read. (recognising of course the irony/beauty of reading + connecting with your experiences thanks to a screen.)
your art is so pretty i want to drink it through my eyeballs to get the full experience
hello :o) i started off imagining what the bedrooms of random characters might look like, and i learnt how everything from the objects to style of furniture to age of the house can create so much narrative about not only the character but story itself...it is for me after so many years actually easier than drawing people XD angles r difficult but i learnt 1/2/3 point perspective and it helped a lot :)
