thank you so much! and happy to see other folks on here for whom words are a "great love" ❤️
Don't go on to social media for a while and stop checking the news all the time. Get off the computer if you can and do something else.
I was so happy to receive this!! Sorry, I couldn't reply, it was late when I received it, but it's good to hear. ;3; Yeah, as bright-eyes said, avoid social media (or have a side account like some of my friends do that only follows like... art, cute animal, or fandom-y stuff). We cooked this morning and it was fun, we made a club sandwich! o/
If you can't go outside, it's fun sorting through your things, or reading a book, or drawing, etc.!!
ha, part of the trouble is that I work in communications! it's literally my job to watch the news! but thank you both for your suggestions: I will definitely be taking some time this weekend to read books and chill with family and get outside for a walk
thanks so much! I spent, uh, too long deciding on a colour palette 😄 and yeah, that's a nifty lil' script!
I have tried blogging in the past and I find the same thing happens to me with unfinished drafts, etc. I find it difficult to keep up with making updates all the time and I find even wordpress to be more time consuming than it should be with uploading images, and keeping the backend of it working properly. The advantage of static webpages is that you don't need to update your software all the time to stop hackers.
I'm totally with you! managing a wordpress site (which I currently do, for my job!) can be a lot of work. updating plugins, getting the theme to look exactly right, uploading images...there's definitely something freeing about maintaining a static site.
♥ thanks! I think I first heard the term from caitlin metz on instagram. she's part of a project @beinginyourbody that talks about selfkeeping. I found the phrase really useful, even though I use it a little differently than they do. I hope to keep building on my thoughts on that page! there's more to say...
i read this and thought you might be interested in seeing my notebooks--a big part of my journaling practice is decorating the notebook, feels like an important ritual for making it a personal space: https://kool.tools/notebooks.jpg this latest one has lasted for a year or two now because i haven't been writing much ;-;
oh wow! that's so cool. I love that you take the time to make each notebook truly your own. thanks for sharing :D
I love that fairy tale!! Thank you for reading it, your voice is very calming and pleasant. ^^
... I paused it and fell asleep while awkwardly sitting on the couch, that was very comforting, apparently!! Good night, I’ll hear the rest when more awake!
