Have you tried decaf coffee when you're doing a less-caffeine period? I had to start drinking less caffeine for health reasons, and it honestly gets a bad rap while being totally fine and keeping "coffee brewing in the corner as I work" vibes going. I think it still has a little caffeine, so it's not nothing, but it is extremely less.
I actually really like decaf coffee! I mostly drink coffee for the ritual, comfort, and taste. So decaf is a great sub even though the taste is a little off. It still has caffeine but a lot less than actual coffee like you said. I also like herbal teas for some kind of "special drink"
All good! There's no need to apologize!! You did nothing wrong, and I like chatting ^^
This is all such great advice! I'm currently in the middle of quitting caffeine, and I've found that not only has my anxiety lessened, but I have more energy. Which is funny because I only started drinking coffee to be less tired/more energetic. Also highly agree with the self-deprecating advice! Not only does constant self-deprecation damage your self-esteem, but it can also increase anxiety and depression symptoms.
It creates a negative feedback loop where you fixate on everything wrong with yourself. If you constantly tell yourself that you're a failure, you'll eventually believe it, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts (speaking from past experience :') ). This also goes for 'jokes' about wanting to die.
@alcedonia yes yes yes, 1000% also to the jokes about wanting to die! Those were everywhere in my Tumblr days. It's awful hearing someone you truly love talk about themselves in that. I never want to make my loved ones worry for me or hurt for me by making self-deprecating jokes like that...
I honestly even think it's bad calling your work "trash" or "cringe" even as a joke (which I sometimes do). It causes a feedback loop where you really do see everything you make as garbage. I'm not saying to be delusional about your skill levels either, but I'm trying to work on just being raw and posting what a want to share. I feel more confident when I share art that's not perfect without trying to be "self-aware"
Ahhh yay, I love stuff regarding health and wellness! excited to see what you add here! If I find or think of any interesting resources, I'll be sure to share! ♡
Thank you!! I don't know if it'll ever be a complete guide, but I'm glad to have a containment zone! Thank you uvu
Hey friends! Starting to work on a page for rambling about wellness / health / nutrition / menty-health / whatever. If you guys have any tips, media or topic recommendations, or just any kind of feedback, let know by email or in my guestbook!
Also this is specific, but I would love any (facial) sunscreen recommendations! I'm going to put a list of sunscreens I've tried! Shoutout to any Aussies or skincare addicts
ive tried a few of the popular ones and my favourite is eucerin oil control dry touch. i use both the 30spf (during winter) and 50 during summer. It gets up to 40 where i am rn and it can handle heat. That one hyped up la roche sunscreen couldn't hold up in hot weather on my greasy sweaty face lmfao
@cabbage Ooh, nice. I've actually heard good things about that brand but haven't tried that specific sunscreen.. I'm guessing you live in a humid place? The La Roche is so shilled but sooo expensive X_X
This is wild, but I use a sunscreen for babies haha. It's called "Babyganics" and it's SPF50 mineral based. Many other sunscreen cause skin irritation to me. I use on face, neck, shoulder area and never get burned or even tan. Seems to work well enough to not hurt my skin because designed for sensitive babies.
I really recommend Intuitive Eating 4th edition to anyone interested in wellness/nutrition
@snowibunni Thank you, I actually know someone who is verrrry sensitive to chemical sunscreens so I love physical recs! Gotta love using stuff meant for babies!
I'm just messing with BokuPuri stuff again ^^;;
