Despite how bad susan was as a leader, she is only a contributer to a ever increasing issue. The ever increasing urge to try and turn a profit from any new advancement, only to end up ruining much of the reason to use it anyway. This was pretty much inevidable to happen and I doubt the new leadership will reverse Susan's changes. This is capitalism, we live in the world of profit.

Nice rant. It may seem impossible to imagine now, but the disappearance of Youtube could indeed happen if Google wanted it to. Sure, it would be a terrible PR move so I don't see it happening so easily, but still the idea is frightening. When companies own our culture and history, we can lose it all if the company decides to pull out of the business.
