Thanks Neocities, I don't know how to game the system to highlight what I want to highlight anymore.

The Herlock Sholmes naming shows up in some old Arsene Lupin novels from the period, so it’s not totally unprecedented, but is a weird pull.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Very different circumstances though, absolutely.

Y'know, I'm not much of a fan of Classic Literature reading experience, but you got me absolutely hooked on your summary of chapter 3 of Pride & Prejudice. The way you write is so funny & fun that it feels almost unfair for you to have such a strong stranglehold on my rapidly deteriorating attention span. I’m gonna read all the summaries until I’m all caught up!

Buahaha >:D Although, not for nothing, I am a faster alternative than actually reading Pride & Predjudice. I'm basically the literary version of "but it's on sale!" convincing you to buy something you didn't need. But thank you for the kind words Pudding!

Thank you, it’s super important to express indifference against the gaze of an equally uncaring universe in a space filled with hearts and flowers.

It is not in the least bit intimidating that I, a person who makes fun of English literature, am being followed by somebody who has a PhD in English literature. No pressure whatsoever. Thank you regardless.

I assure you, any authority I have is quite slender. Getting a PhD in English actually means finding a weird little corner of literature and scrabbling around in it. It is actually a process that can be the exact opposite of enjoying literature! But I honestly don't think I would have survived my PhD program if I weren't making fun of it all the time. Making fun of literature is its own art form. :)

i think any tomato sauce from a can is just the base for a good sauce, you gotta add the onions and whatnot to make it the way you want

For canned sauce, 100% agree. The jarred stuff though, gets a little fuzzy. Some of them have the onions and whatnots in there already, some don't. But they're all called "tomato sauce".

This is all a conspiracy by Big Tomato Sauce to turn us against one another, I just know it

oh ya the jars are another level. i keep my expectations low and assume i'll be addin to it. we cant let the conflict of sauces boil over and get between us, this is a slow n steady, simmer all sunday kinda saauce

skep 7 months ago

Aaah so what you're suggesting is that the sauce is a metaphor for life, it's better to put your own flavor into it than to just pick one off the shelf. Very wise. I'm still going to just use the jarred stuff for my spaghetti though because I am pretty lazy.

I've finally had the time to dive into some of your coverage (Beep Boop Bitcoin, Moe Era, Tamara). Everything is wild and what you're doing is criminally underrated.
