Years ago I read Sven Birkets, The Gutenberg Elegies which is quoted on my reviewer profile page on our website. Back in the 90s Birkets was concerned about the impact of electronic media on reading and how books will be written and marketed, but I donβt think he ever imagined one AI reading another AIβs books to generate clicks and cash on Amazon. Is this crazy, or am I just getting old?
It's pretty wild, though "reading" might not be the right term here. On a side note, interesting book. I'm assuming it's probably dated in parts but I might have to keep an eye out next time I head to the library/bookstore.
It is dated on many technological issues, but I think it is philosophically still relevant
