congratulations on one year! after reading your blog, i'm going to give you a bit of wall of text but this is just from my experience so i hope it's helpful! e sure to take time for yourself and it might help to reframe this hobby as an "add-on" hobby to what you're interested in. being interested in coding is awesome, but the coding is meant to show more parts of you rather than *be* you, if that makes sense!
being concerned about people stealing your code, or creating the best site ever, or being looped into the latest neocities drama can really take all the fun out of it. i like to think of website-building as a means to an end, not *the* end! if you end up not updating your site for ages at a time, that's OK! it's meant to be static and live on without you. keep it updated for the sake of showing people who you are!
there's plenty of us who just love surfing this side of the web for the heck of it. to get to know people we might not meet IRL, to understand how other folks live, or to just browse some cool websites. and plenty of us who don't care at all about neocities drama. you can choose your own adventure here to block out what you want and create your own experience. <3
@christinee Thanks! ^_^
