Ba careful about the (weak, but catchy) counterpoint «Being against social media is a slippery slope to being asocial»
@Zin true! I find in these sort of debates people tend to use sophistry. It's easy to do and puts the opposing view, if they're unaccustomed to such "arguments", in a position of confusion or pause.
im doing the same thing but im in a bookstore bathroom arguing with the stall next to me
LOL! Was "oculolinctus" ever a trend? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oculolinctus https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/that-whole-japanese-eyeball-licking-thing-never-really-happened-25643924/
Jokey postie aside, there is a note of seriousness to what I said and my non-joke answer is that I have resentments about phones & digital art, it really bothers me that most people look at highly detailed, rendered artwork on a screen the size of their palm and not on a monitor. Scaling issues also mean that pixel art never looks right on mobile devices, always smudgy and weird.
I can't fight the tides of progress and I know I'm in the wrong for being a weird luddite.
