Do you have any thoughts on downloading another OS onto smartphones? I saw on the Opt Out Project the author was using an open source OS on her previously Android phone and was curious about your opinion.

the only one i know really anything about is GrapheneOS, but you need a Google Pixel to run it. obvs it would be great to have a privacy-centric phone OS with user-revocable network access and no google features, i just don't know much about it. i'll do some more research on it.

Hm. Interesting. Even if I run some PowerShell thing I found from Github that debloats my Windows 11, Mircosoft will still have the ability to train AI models on my computer's files? Is there any way I can stop this?

i don't know. every use-case is slightly different. i'd take that question up with the developers of the plugin you're using.

Even if you do debloat your system, Microsoft tends to add back and reinstall things without the user's consent. Using Windows is basically accepting that you have no real control over your PC.

The only times that id ever use windows nowadays is to use something that just ISNT being nice with linux no matter what i do, and even then the app id need to use would prob be a one time use thing LMAO (if i knew how to run certain things on wine easily, life would be great...)

@jaidenle oh i know right! im still too much of a n00b to understand the terminal :P (from what i read, Wine is pretty much click and go once it's working tho)

@badgraph1csghost well, its mostly click and go, sometimes it just refuses to open some .exe's, maybe im using it wrong LMAO, but still, worth the effort getting it to work on linux first, and using windows as a last resort
