I've compiled roughly 289 photos of nothing. These are mostly liminal shots of banal or mundane subjects, devoid of human presence or interesting objects. I rarely shoot like this anymore (human subjects are far more interesting), and frankly I resent that I've wasted so much time/money/film doing so. In reality, I think this behavior was reflective of my hollow artistic endeavors, constantly clinging myself others' identities, desperately trying to create profound and meaningful photos by throwing shit at the walls. But there was simply nothing there. Just a depressed person shooting walls.

I love this collection! Thanks for sharing... but I understand the sentiment too. I used to live in this aesthetic because it reflected exactly how I was feeling during that time; empty. I used to avoid it because I hated the feeling it caused, but now I look at it and sigh in acknowledgement of what it meant for me then. I hope you can find a way to reach a similar conclusion too.

I really like this collection. The photos themselves are beautiful and striking, but even more so, looking at them through the lens of them not having a subject/missing something serves to recontextualize them in a really eerie way that stokes the mind.
