@skep There appears to be hundreds of games like this, all equally overwrought. My theory is that the entire casual game market is completely unhinged and just slips under the radar. In the other one I'm playing, the personification of a chicken dish became a cop to impress his perpetually disappointed brother, who is also the personification of a chicken dish.
A tablet that can play this stuff was an amazing spending choice, is my point.
There is definitely some investigative reporting that needs to be done here. I need to know how this was allowed to happen.
Thanks everyone! I am always so nervous I talked myself into thinking this was one of humanity's worst ideas. I am glad that does not seem to be the case!
I love mother 1/earthbound beginnings but I'd be lying if a big part of that wasn't the surreal and somewhat melancholy atmosphere. it can be a pain with the wonky difficulty and clunkier gameplay so I get why a lot don't love it as much as 2 or 3, but I'm really fond of 1 especially
@radpage I’ve never played anything in the series, so I’m just rolling with it right now. Getting wrecked early on is par for the course in an NES rpg, so I’m not bothered by it!
