I'm not sure how the recommendation works around here but I can't really complain, My website is not on Neocities anymore because of my needs so I'm hosting it on my own server, but I still keep a redirect here and people still find my website, which honestly, I'm glad. I can't really deal with social media to show my stuff

Immersion is a really great way to learn languages. Growing up I consumed so much content in English that I ended up learning by exposure, lmao. I mean, my English is by no means perfect, but considering that I never studied it, thanks globalization, I guess? Good luck with your new language, you got it;

amy!!! thank you :'))). I think I'm succeeding and going easy on myself and pushing myself to converse more.. I think it's the main thing I've been missing and it feels like I cracked some mysterious code when it was so obvious lmao. And yes I'm really glad to meet more people, especially ones that are so different from me!

@ongezell I have definitely been considering other hosting options for so long now (i dicked around with a vps for a while but ended up giving up due to laziness kek) but the thing is, i do enjoy the social features to an extent so i feel like I'm always stuck between a rock and a hard place... maybe someday though

and yes nothing truly beats immersion, after not knowing cyrillic for my whole life it took me only a couple of days to learn it after being in a country that uses it for a week! it's incredible. and thank you!

I MAY give it a try although if Nikki herself isn't fully customizable face/body wise (this is a big part of why I'm playing LM compared to SN/LN) I'll probably pass... although it seems really cute!

You expressed so succinctly why some (definitely not all) of Haruki Murakami's fiction feels so powerful: he somehow talks about big complicated painful and confusing events precisely by not talking about them, and in doing so somehow reveals some nameless wordless truth about them. Norwegian Wood also does this really well wrt the late 60s student protest movement, I think.

I remember that on some tumblrs, that they focus was to highlight stupid female armor in media, they would criticize castanics a lot. I think that they didn't get the point that castanics are suppose to be some kind of devils/demons so their clothing fit them a lot lol (also I totally agree with you how the male and female dresses so equally/similar). They were my fav race in the game and I think that they're cute.

The castanics also remember me the Kruxena race of Requiem Memento Mori (an old forgotten MMO now, that was never rlly popular) but the Kruxena had 100% more skimpy clothing, are more evil and less cute. But they were the prettiest race in that game lol (Requiem was a weird "gore" MMO btw). So I loved castanics at first sight because they're 100% than Kruxenas lol

About the elins I remember how people would talk that they copied the Lyns from Blade and Soul (it was either Tera that copied Bns or the other way around). I always thought that the Elin were creppy with their huge thighs on such a small body (my teenage brain at time didn't get that they were supposed to be sexualized lol)

Wow kruxenas remind me a lot of the devans in tera (which are just corrupted castanics lmao). And god yes, i do remember seeing tera being pointed out often for the bikini armor sin quite often, which, while true, in todays context actually seems kind of harmless considering plenty of male armor options are highly sexualized as well. Ironically no female armor comes with sexy belt chokers lmfao

And yes, Lyns came after Elins!! I still remember the BnS beta because a ton of elin players were very hyped to try it out. I played that one tall/elvish race in bns but I quickly lost interest because the combat didn't compare to tera

also regarding the "harmless" comment, refer to stellar blade and like, the new vindictus. All of the female armor is sexy, no male armor is. For gods sake, castanic males get like 3 cloth armors that exclusively expose their nipples lmfao where did that type of respect for the female playerbase go...
