tysm this means a lot since the nostalgia/whimsicality in question are something i've always thought have been my personal identifiers because i'm literally (or i try to be) the embodiment of silliness both on and offline and i live in my head @ any given point of time..so to have my website reflect exactly that would mean i'm succeeding in bringing my identity's essence to paper (screen? lol)
i never got around to commenting on your site either but i love the rustic charm to it! and it is extremely one of a kind and vibrant, something i especially look forward to finding across the indie web...absolutely cannot wait to get know you better and watch your site evolve further ^__^
You are too sweet!!! I so relate to wanting what you do to embody who you are so I just want to say that your're really achieving that!! Your website is so incredibly special and really reminds me why I love neocities and the indie web so much :-)
thank you!! this means so much to me ;_; i absolutely love your 60s themed homepage - SO groovy!!!
also your writing page theme is freaking awesome too I LOVE THE MEDIEVAL THEME SO MUCH
Thank you so much!!! I love the medieval look way too much NOT to include it in a website dedicated to stuff I love lol
Thank you so much! The second I saw 70s flower power I new it was a follow.
I'm early in my habibi funk expedition so I've only heard a handful of albums but I really like Marzipan by Charif Megarbane, and Orkos by Maha. I'll check out Al Massrieen!! :D
btw I think your site is really nice! I love 60s/70s style too so it looks a lot like my irl decorating lol
That's cool!! I've never had I've before but that sounds really interesting :0
P.S. your whole website looks like the inside of my wife and I's early '70s time capsule house, so I think you nailed the aesthetic
This made my day, it's so sweet!! :-) Looking at your site, (it's SO cool btw) I can see what we do have similar interests which makes me happy. I love seeing a fellow metropolis (1927) fan out in the wild!!
P.S. as well, it's so cool that you have a time capsule house!?! You're literally living my dream lol
Appreciate the kind words and stoked for more updates :) Yes, mostly thrifted too! It's possible, just takes years to collect all the stuff. We also live in the midwest so everything is cheap at thrift and antique stores
I read Maus earlier in the year as well, excellent book!
It was a REALLY good book,, I'm kinda sad that I'm done with it now lol
