Quotes from Ursula le Guin pop up everywhere. She is good at taking apart things that we take for granted even with all our progressive views. My favourite is her quote re banality of evil/boredom of pain (from Omelas).
My only touchpoint with Earthsea is a 2006 Hayao Miyazaki adaptation called "Tales from Earthsea". I enjoyed the film a lot. I dunno how to talk about it without spoilers besides saying it has a lot of dreamlike body horror. I don't know how it stacks up against the books, but maybe I should give them a try!
