It was good reading your thoughts on Ergo Proxy! It's been on my watchlist for years... I thought it would be too Big Brained for me but I think I will finally give it a watch!

I honestly think it's not that complex and adults shouldn't have too many issues with tackling the themes and all. Could be wrong but most people saying "this anime was WACK and nothing makes sense!" probably just didn't watch it too closely heh

i always liked murata's art (except his fondess for lolis), especially how well thought things are and designs make sense. i really agree that we need more of this than genshin/gacha tier designs these days. elaborate ott designs are terrible to draw and keep on model, i don't get how popular it got in original character spaces. maybe i'm weird but i like when character designs, outfits make sense for the setting.
yes! his designs are so sleek, and exactly how does it even pay off to have such intricate messy designs?
